Rooted in Faith, Alive in the Franciscan Spirit
We, the people of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, engaged in the mission of Jesus Christ and inspired by the Franciscan Tradition, seek to be the presence of God in the world. Guided by the values of hospitality, service, prayer, unity, and love, we strive to live our faith with simplicity and joy.
We envision a world transformed by the love and grace of God, where every person is empowered to live as a disciple of Christ. This vision calls us to serve others with compassion and to proclaim the Gospel with courage, building communities of peace, hope, and communion.
In this community we live the Gospel and love our neighbor.
Our community of St. John the Baptist is a vibrant, multi-cultural bi-lingual Catholic parish with a large and active Hispanic population. The parish has evolved from a predominantly German community to a diverse and inclusive congregation committed to Franciscan values, we include people of all ages who participate in a wide range of parish life, from prayer and worship to educational programs and community support services. With a history spanning more than 172 years, the parish represents a continuous community of “living stones” rather than just a building. The current community carries on the parish’s legacy while adapting to the needs of its modern, diverse membership.

Altar Servers are young people and adults called to serve at the altar, assisting during the celebration of the Mass with reverence and dedication. This ministry offers a meaningful way to grow in faith, deepen love for the Eucharist, and actively participate in the life of the Church.
