Baptism is the first step in our journey of faith, where we are welcomed into the family of God and called to live as disciples of Jesus.
At St. John the Baptist Parish, we celebrate this sacrament with joy, embracing each child and family with the spirit of peace, simplicity, and fraternity that flows from our Franciscan tradition.
Through prayer, service, and formation, we encourage one another to grow in holiness and to live out our baptismal call with gratitude and generosity. We believe that true well-being comes from God’s love, which renews hearts and transforms our world into a place of justice, compassion, and hope.

Basic Information
- Baptisms are celebrated on Saturdays at 9:30 am.
- 1st Saturday of the month: Baptisms in English.
- Following Saturdays: Baptisms in Spanish.
- Please contact the parish office to register, receive preparation information, and confirm available dates.

Requirements for Registration
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Parents & Godparents: Proof of completion of a Baptismal Preparation Class.
- Godparents: All Sacramental Certificates (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage Certificate from the Catholic Church if married civilly or living with someone)
- Donation of $75 per child at the time of booking
- Children aged 7+ must complete at least one year of Religious Education prior to Baptism

Baptismal Preparation Classes
- English Class: Contact the parish office to schedule a session with a priest.
- Spanish Classes: Join us on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month at 7:00 PM.
- Spanish Baptisms: Baptisms are celebrated on the 3rd and 4th Saturdays of each month, and on the 5th Saturday when available. Please call the parish office for available dates. Space is limited.
